I ain't just Belize anymore...

This all started out as an adventure in marketing a new development in Belize and since jumping in with both feet the morphing has been unstoppable! I have had discussions with real estate developers in Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and even as far away as Cambodia!


Now I find myself on the verge of creating a whole new marketing company focused on tropical real estate...how cool is that!? I also discovered recently, that I am a truly qualified Parrot Head and I suppose that that fact alone qualifies me to promote island/tropical real estate. With all of that being said, I will be launching a new website within the next few weeks as I now have an agreement with a developer of a five star resort in the Dominican Republic...details will be forthcoming...but I will tell you that it is beautiful...tropical...they have a beach and they serve rum!


Another discovery I made is that all this real estate investing can be done using your IRA/401K retirement plan funds...yes...legally! (There are some restrictions, but it is possible!)

So...stay tuned while I morph myself into an international real estate marketing tycoon...specializing in Caribbean real estate, Caribbean hot spots and a whole bunch more...watch out Donald!

Purchase with a Purpose Program...

Having just attended the New England Parrot Head Convention in South Portland, Maine (our first PH event ever), the tag line “Party with a Purpose” became very powerfully evident and real to us. As a first time vendor at the convention, we had the opportunity to engage in conversation with many Parrot Head attendees covering a myriad of different topics; but the one topic that showed through as a very prevalent common theme was the charities which the entire Parrot Head membership is so willingly eager to support. It became apparent to us that supporting these PHC’s and the charities that each Club supports will be very near and dear to the hearts of the members.

I have just learned that the weekend event in So. Portland Maine, "Tiki Time on Maine Time" did the fantastic job of raising over $17,000 for 4 different charities in Maine: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, Maine Special Olympics, Maine Cancer Foundation, and Maine Alzheimer’s Association. Ecotourism in Belize

What exactly is "ecotourism" anyway...I found this at wikipedia:

Ecotourism is travel to fragile, and usually protected areas that strive to be low impact and small scale. It helps educate the traveler; provides funds for conservation and generally benefits the economic development of local communities.

According to the definition and principles of ecotourism established by The International Ecotourism Society in 1990, ecotourism is "Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and empowers the well-being of the local people."

Orchid Bay is building such a community...from leaving 40% of the space "green" to utilizing solar and wind power, to creating jobs for some of the local people.

This month's Insider's Tour will explore some of the ways in which Orchid Bay is creating this community while remaining "eco-friendly." This concept is a major factor in creating this community in northern Belize...it's probably too late to get in on the April Tour...but the founders are hosting another one next month...so start thinking about it now.
