Investing in Real Estate using your retirement account...

The more I discuss this opportunity, the more I am getting questions about how to own real estate "within" your retirement account. It's actually pretty simple, but there are some rules that you need to be aware of, like...you can't actually use the property which is owned by your retirement account, at least not until you retire and take the property as a distribution. You can however, own it and rent it and your retirement account realizes the rent as income...tax free just like the gains or losses are realized by your retirement account on those mutual funds you have right now...not to mention the appreciation the real estate gains...and Belize RE is appreciating at a rate of 20% according to one source.

I am not an expert on this subject, and when it comes to this kind of thing it's best to have an expert on your side. That's why I've partnered with the Entrust Group. In short, to own real estate in your retirement account, you need to move retirement funds to custodian which specializes in "self-directed" retirement account management. I will be scheduling a series of webinars along with these guys so everyone can learn more about it...it is truly fascinating when you start understanding it. In these times, when the stock market is a bit scary to say the least, it might behoove you to invest in what you!

In the mean time, I have made an informational CD available to you which is free of charges and obligation. Click here to learn more and to get your free CD...information is power!

For now...think tropical...and hit 'em straight!

Why invest in Belize Real Estate?

Belize is 70% less expensive than comparable Florida, central Caribbean and Mexican real estate and can be maintained at a fraction of the cost. Belize is still undervalued due to the government's small tax base and inability to market the country. All of this makes Belize an attractive investment for vacation, retirement, or rental income. Belize boasts retirement programs and tax incentives found nowhere else in the U.S.

While Belize has not done a good job in the past of marketing Belize...they have a new initiative which will improve the overall recognition of Belize as a good, attractive place to invest or retire. this government initiative is due to be rolled out this year (2009). This makes Belize even more attractive, because if you get in now...before everyone knows about it...you'll be ahead of the curve (appreciation curve).

Mother Nature's best kept secret...

One of my readers told me that he/she would like to know more about Belize...the country...and the Belize real estate market. So, at the request of one of my readers, the next few posts will provide more information, beginning with today...Mother Nature's best kept secret.

Belize's natural beauty is unsurpassed, yet it is still largely undiscovered by tourists. Almost two-fifths of the country is protected as wildlife reserves and national parks. Belize's low population density and extensive protected areas have resulted in some of the most intact ecotourism attractions in the Caribbean. Designated as a World Heritage Site, the Belize Barrier Reef is the longest and most active coral reef in the Western Hemisphere. Year-round warm waters and gentle breezes invite you to swim, sail, fish, scuba dive, snorkel and hike amidst natures finest.

Some of the world's best diving can be found here in Belize. The Blue Hole is a magnificent place full of wonder!

And this is just the beginning of your adventure in Belize!

20 degrees and the hockey game's on...

Geez!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish it was 20 degrees Jimmy! As I pulled my car out of the garage this morning the thermometer said it was 45 in garage; now I only have a 10 minute drive to work, but the whole time I was driving...the thermometer just kept on dropping...until it finally stopped at -11 degrees Fahrenheit!

I'm pretty sure I would rather be working on this crane at Orchid Bay! Buying real estate in Belize is looking better and more promising every day!
I suppose that it could be worse...I understand that my buddy in Jackson Hole, WY is was getting cabin fever and went south to Las Vegas.

Hit 'em straight or
if you're snowbound...stay out of the trees!

Just Hit 'em!

I joined the Parrot Head Webring

So...after a very busy and hectic New Year and first week back at work I am finally adding another post. Nothing real exciting to post about Orchid Bay except that there are some real big developments coming in the next few weeks.

BUT!.....while I am NOT a true Parrot Head, I am a Buffett fan. First, I love Jimmy's music...no question about that. Second, I have read his books which are wonderful! He truly a fantastic story-teller and finally, I am a fan of what he has done with his business enterprise...who knows? Maybe Jimmy will want to open a Margaritaville restaurant at Orchid Bay...

I did however join the Parrot Head Webring! This is a very cool concept linking all sorts of sites together in a big "ring"...one site leading to another...all with a common theme. Click on the logo and see where it will take you!

Hit 'em straight! Or hit 'em for fun!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all who happen to read my blog; I've only been writing this blog for a month and have had over 200 visitors from 8 different counties!

Here is my hope for everyone in 2009...

"Prospero Año Nuevo" - have a prosperous new year.

I am certain that this is going to a fantastic year in Belize...especially at Orchid Bay! For starters, the letter written to the people of Belize by The Honorable Dean Barrow (Prime Minister of Belize)clearly states that, although there have been some major challenges, both in Belize and worldwide, the future of development in Belize is moving forward! You can read the letter here, San Pedro Daily.

As for development at Orchid Bay...well...let's just say that I will keep you "posted."

Thank you for reading...and I sincerely wish you "Prospero Año Nuevo" !
